sean and i finally bought bikes! and after a week or two we actually rode them! mine is the blue one, sean's the orange. when i went to take pictures of them, ruby snuck into the background to show off her "talents". didn't want stella to feel left out, so i took a picture of her "talent-ing" too.

i didn't watch the show, but geezus gaga and kanye west, you're an asshole. tell him kelly clarkson . . .
What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like sh**. I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty sh**ty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, asshole ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my asshole ex that cheated on me over you… which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you. The best part of this evening is that you weren’t even up for THIS award and yet you still have a problem with the outcome. Is winning a moon man that much of a life goal?? You can have mine if it will shut you up. Is it that important, really??
I was actually nominated in the same category that Taylor won and I was excited for her… so why can’t you be?? I’m not even mad at you for being an asshole… I just pity you because you’re a sad human being.
On a side note, Beyonce has always been a class act and proved again tonight that she still is. Go TEXAS!!
Taylor Swift, you outsell him … that’s why he’s bitter. You know I love your work! Keep it up girl!

sean and i actually made it out to artwalk this month and it was a super fun night. it was nice to be out in the city, see great art (2nd pic is the jim hance exhibit), aiga jax held "atomic sketch" in the old library, karen & ashley teamed up on their art pieces, i bought a piece from katy g - that's her dish, and after the bomb baby rocked the alley w/ a cool installation by ian chase. topped the night by enjoying burrito gallery with a bunch of friends.

amy & gil's wedding invites are uh-dor-able. screenprinted on wood & mailed with twine. what a great surprise to find in our mailbox! great design collaboration between varick & sean tucker on the project. details on the job part one and part two.
**their invites were featured on the 100 layer cake blog!!!
in addition to uh-dor-able invites, amy & gil also had a super fun wedding shower last saturday! i started my day shopping for bicycles (post on that later!) then grabbed breakfast at the fox in avondale w/ sean & joey. while waiting for a table sean's all "hey look, amy and gil!" which prompted me to do a 360 only to find no amy or gil in sight. then he pointed out a picture of them right at the entrance - they had posed with their fox coffee mugs during the engagement photo shoot & the owners posted the picture. cute cute.
that afternoon, i went to see amy & gil in person at their wedding shower hosted at the paul figura studio where amy works. there was tons of food, friends and "aunties" when i arrived. after all the presents were opened and all the "adults" had left, out came the beer & bras! we played flip cup to our heart's desire while amy & gil tried on the lingerie pieces she scored earlier in the day. the white boy shorts w/ rainbow hearts - aka the one's gil is wearing - were from me :) see pictures of all the shower shenanigans here. congrats to them! can't wait for the bachelor/bachelorette weekend in savannah & the wedding to follow!

In Santa Barbara , CA last week's fire caused these two to take shelter together. The fawn is 3 days old and the bobcat about 3 weeks. The fawn came from somewhere in the fire and Animal Planet is reporting the bobcat kitten was rescued near Arnold Schwarzeneggers ranch, where it was dehydrated and near death.
Although wild animals, especially of separate species, are never placed together due to regulations, in this emergency situation, they had no choice. During the mayhem of the fire, they were forced to put animals anywhere they could, and since they had run out of crates large enough for the fawn, the two animals ended up under a desk snuggled together in the Santa Barbara County Dispatch Office for several hours. It was instant bonding.
